Key Responsibilities as a Products & Propositions Lead – Managed Service:
Product Strategy & Innovation
- Lead the development of Managed Services propositions from concept to market.
- Deliver innovations based on customer, market, and technology insights.
- Collaborate with sales, technical, commercial, and service delivery teams to exceed growth targets.
Go-to-Market Execution
- Define target markets, personas, and customer problem/solution statements.
- Create compelling sales enablement materials and agile minimum viable propositions.
- Launch pricing bundles and commercial strategies to drive new business and upsell opportunities.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Manage new product introductions, vendor evaluations, and portfolio maintenance.
- Oversee the sunsetting and retirement of outdated products and services.
- Ensure technical, sales, and commercial readiness across the portfolio.
Operational Excellence
- Define service architecture including APIs, SLAs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure security, sustainability, and compliance standards are met.
- Support training, onboarding, and enablement across teams.
Performance & Optimisation
- Monitor KPIs including revenue, margin, pipeline growth, and roadmap delivery.
- Use data-driven insights to refine propositions and improve outcomes.
- Engage with customer forums and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
- Build strong relationships with vendors, integrators, and strategic partners.
- Align strategies with Divisional MD and Board-level stakeholders.
- Ensure commercial viability and alignment with business goals.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Experience & Skills
- 4+ years in a product management role, ideally in managed services or IT.
- Deep understanding of UK business cloud, infrastructure, and security markets.
- Proven success in vendor management and go-to-market execution.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
Desirable Experience
- Experience with public sector and third-sector organisations.
- Exposure to agile methodologies and proposition testing.
- Understanding of mobile applications, SaaS integration, and service management frameworks.
