Strategically drive growth and shape the future of our commercial success as a Sales Director!
At Intercity, we are looking for a strategic, hands-on Sales Director to lead our sales function, build strong client relationships, and deliver ambitious revenue targets. You will work closely with key stakeholders including marketing, propositions, commercial and sales specialists. This role reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Key Responsibilities as a Sales Director:
- Setting Sales Targets: design plans to meet sales targets, ensuring revenue growth for the company.
- Client Relationships: develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Including taking a lead on large strategic opportunities.
- Strategic Planning: create and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. Including implementing a segmentation and vertical structure.
- Understanding Business Needs: partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Effective Communication: communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
- Sales Processes: Implement and maintain new sales processes.
- Market Trends: Understand category-specific landscapes and trends is crucial.
- Reporting and Analysis: report on forces that impact tactical budgets and strategic account direction.
- Reporting and Analysis: Create a structured approach to white space analysis.
- Reporting and Analysis: Maintain quality and quantity of sales data to drive and inform the sales and growth initiatives.
- Leadership: Be a hands-on sales leader
- Sales Methodology: Understand sales methodology e.g. MEDPICC
Experience and Knowledge:
- Demonstratable experience of revenue growth within existing account base
- Use of CRM as a management and reporting tool
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
- Knowledge of how to scale and create sales teams
- Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager, or sales and marketing director.
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level.
