Join Our Team as an In-Life Commercial Manager!
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially savvy In-Life Commercial Manager to oversee the management of our customers. This role is critical to ensuring that our customer relationships are profitable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance retention across all services and products.
- Review the profitability of the customer base through close commercial management of large, complex accounts.
- Match costs incurred with suppliers to billing sent to customers, in collaboration with finance.
- Use data and systems to track contract end dates, renewal dates, and end of life.
- Work with sales, pricing, and proposition colleagues to deliver automated and semi-automated resign quotes and packaging offers.
- Review top managed IT and larger accounts quarterly to ensure billing matches commercial agreements.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure billing for new services and visibility of costs taken.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Reduce churn by understanding the reasons for losses and leading a cross-functional team to deliver improvements.
- Consolidate and use renewal data from suppliers, presenting it to sales, marketing, and proposition colleagues.
- Take full ownership of the commercial lifecycle, ensuring accurate execution, monitoring, and renewal of contracts.
- Lead commercial negotiations for contract amendments, renewals, and renegotiations.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met and identify potential risks.
- Track and measure the performance of contracts against KPIs, SLAs, and financial targets.
- Manage and document any contract changes or amendments throughout the lifecycle.
- Lead regular reviews of in-life contracts to assess risk exposure and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Manage contract disputes and work closely with commercial colleagues to find resolutions.
- Work closely with the procurement team to manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on commercial management processes and best practices.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
Experience and Knowledge:
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial contract management, with a strong focus on in-life contract management in technology or telecommunications sectors.
- Proven experience in managing complex contracts with multiple stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of contract law, commercial terms, risk management, and legal compliance.
- Experience working with financial models.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and supplier relationship management.
